What is yellow sticky trap and how it works?

Yellow sticky trap is just a bright yellow color board with glue/gum on it. It is commonly used to control the population of some insect pest as insects/pest get attracted towards itself once it gets closer it get stuck to the gum on the surface of the paper and die hence cannot reproduce thus lowering the pest incidence.
